The Washington and Lee women's basketball program will join the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and hundreds of schools nationally in the organization's "Pink Zone" initiative at an upcoming home game on Sat., Feb. 7 when they take on Randolph at 4:00 pm.
All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear "pink" to support the cause. Coaches and staff will participate by wearing pink and donations can be made during the game to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
The Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund is a 501 c(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against cancer through raising money for scientific research, assisting the under served and unifying people for a common cause.
The WBCA's "Pink Zone" initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
