Jack Goldsmith, class of '84 philosophy major, currently Henry L. Shattuck Professor of Law at Harvard Uuniversity Law School, and formerly U.S. Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel in the Department of Justice, addressed the annual Founders' Day/Omicron Delta Kappa Convocation on Monday, January 19, in Lee Chapel. Pictured with him in front of Lee Chapel are two of his former professors, as well as the current head of the Philosophy Department.

On Monday, November 14, 2007, Goldsmith also gave a talk on "Terror and the Presidency" in Lee Chapel. The lecture was on the topic of his recent book, The Terror Presidency: Law and Judgement Inside the Bish Administration (Norton & Company, 2007).
