Washington and Lee University requires each member of the first-year class to complete AlcoholEdu(TM) for College–an online, non-judgmental alcohol prevention program. A health education tool used on over 500 campuses nationwide, the course applies science-based research to educate students about alcohol and its effects. Whether you drink or not, AlcoholEdu for College empowers you to make well-informed decisions about alcohol, and helps you better cope with the drinking behavior of your peers.
The course has two sections, both of which must be completed to fulfill this requirement:
Washington and Lee provides the parent module of AlcoholEdu to the parents of incoming first-year students to equip you to start conversations with your student and to inform you about the realities of college alcohol use.
