Nate Jervey is in his first year as assistant sports information director at Washington and Lee. He came to W&L from the University of Detroit Mercy, where he served as a sports information assistant for the 2007-08 school year.
At Detroit, Jervey was the primary media contact for softball, women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's fencing. He also assisted with the hosting of the 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Midwest Regional at Ford Field.
Jervey is a 2007 graduate of Alma College, where he graduated with bachelor of arts degrees in political science and history and participated on the football and basketball teams. He also served as a member of the sports information student staff for three years.
On the gridiron, Jervey helped the Scots to a pair of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association titles and was a Second Team All-MIAA selection at wide receiver as a senior.
Jervey serves as the primary media contact for several of W&L's athletic teams and will be reponsible for recording statistics, producing news releases and media guides and updating the University athletics webpages.
