Greek Organizations
Fraternities and sororities exist for the personal and professional development of their members and their community. Greek life is typically founded on principles of scholarship, leadership, friendship and service that are taught internally by a national ritual to the members who strive to exhibit those principles in their daily rituals.

FraternitiesWashington and Lee has 16 national fraternities including two historically black Greek fraternities.

SororitiesThe University has seven national sororities including two historically black Greek sororities.

Greek Governing and Leadership OrganizationsFraternities and Sororities are governed by several organizations including the Multicultural Greek Council, Greek Vision Council, Interfraternity Council and the Panhellenic Council. The Order of the Omega is an honorary society.
