
Office of International EducationLarry Boetsch (M.A., DML, Middlebury College) is Professor of Romance Languages and Interim Director of the Center for International Education. A member of the faculty since 1976 and a senior administrator at W&L from 1996-2003, Larry and his wife Elizabeth have recently returned from a four-year assignment in Berlin, Germany, at the European College for Liberal Arts. In addition to visiting daughters Alden, in Portland, Oregon, and Lauren, in Cuenca, Ecuador, Larry enjoys ( in no particular order) baseball, the poetry of Antonio Machado, the novels of Javier Marias, and jogging on the Woods Creek path. He is a 1969 graduate of Washington and Lee.
