
Newcomb Hall 314Research Interests: The political, cultural and social history of post-Revolutionary France
Current Research: Professor Horowitz is currently examining the importance of friendship for French elites in the early nineteenth century. She is particularly- interested in how politicians used friendship as a way to navigate and understand the new social and political world created by the Revolution, and how friendship could be used to heal some of the traumas of the Revolution and overcome the divisions within French society.
