Ken Lambert came to Washington and Lee in 1985.

Education

Ph.D., philosophy from Rutgers University (1984)
M.S., computer science from Wright State University (1985)
B.A., philosophy from Bucknell University (1973)

Research

Professor Lambert has worked on case-based reasoning and expert systems with Professor Mark Grunewald of the Washington and Lee School of Law. His recent focus has been on programming languages, user interface design, and object-oriented software development. He is the author of more than a dozen textbooks on introductory computer programming. 

Current Research:
Professor Lambert is currently developing textbook on programming languages.

Other Interests

Professor Lambert has wide-ranging interests in politics, history, and the arts. He has taught several courses in the Philosophy Department at Washington and Lee.  These courses include Aesthetics, Philosophy of History, and Hegel's Political Philosophy.
