At Washington and Lee, we are proud of the tradition of excellence that has become the standard for our teams and athletic programs, and we are dedicated to maintaining these standards of excellence in the classroom and the competitive arena. In particular, we are especially committed to promoting excellence through good sportsmanship and positive support for all of our student-athletes, coaches and staff as well as for our opponents and officials.
As we cheer on our teams, please keep in mind our attitudes and actions not only reflect upon our individual character but also on the character of our university as a whole. Please join us in our efforts to display good sportsmanship by helping us foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all, thereby representing W&L with the spirit and respect it deserves.
