
Washington and Lee University garnered the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's weekly honors for the sports of men's soccer, volleyball and women's cross country for the week ending September 7.
Junior midfielder Drew Crowley (Weston, Mass./Weston) was named ODAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week, while junior outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) received the conference volleyball player of the week honor. Senior Elizabeth Webb (Middleburg, Va./Wakefield) garnered the weekly ODAC award for women's cross country.
Crowley helped guide the Generals to a 2-0 record over the weekend. In the season-opener on Saturday, Crowley registered one goal in a 2-0 win over Shenandoah, and in a 2-1 double-overtime victory over Piedmont on Sunday, he netted one goal and dished out one assist. On the weekend, he totaled two goals and one assist.
Phillips helped lead the W&L volleyball team to a perfect 4-0 record over the weekend en route to winning the W&L Invitational and being named the tournament MVP. She totaled 43 kills, 30 digs and five blocks over four matches.
Webb helped the Washington and Lee women’s cross country team to a first-place finish out of 10 teams at the W&L Invitational by winning the race with a time of 24:12, which was 24 seconds faster than the second-place competitor.
