The International Relations Association (IRA) seeks to increase awareness and understanding of international political issues on campus by organizing debates, forums, speakers and discussions on various topics. Discussions are open to everyone and aim at developing speaking abilities and global awareness in its participants. Model United Nations (MUN) is also run under IRA. In Model U.N., students step into the shoes of ambassadors from U.N. member states to debate current issues on the organization’s vast agenda. W&L MUN attends at least two MUN conferences a year, representing delegations from various member nations of the U.N.
