Washington and Lee University
Women in Technology and Science (WITS) is comprised of University women in all majors. We work with a group of 36-40 female students from Maury River Middle School (6th-8th grades). We conduct hands-on activities and labs in science and technology-related fields with the hope of preventing the loss of interest in these subjects that often occurs among middle school girls. In addition, we often serve as judges for school- and county-level middle school science fairs.
