Loan Repayment Assistance Program

Supporting W&L Law Graduates in Public Interest Law

Named Loan Repayment Assistance Fund  -  $100,000  -  The Law School's Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) assists law graduates who choose public interest careers by meeting their educational debt commitments as long as they work in public interest. An effective LRAP is a way for the Law School to have a significant impact in social justice. In a way, the LRAP is a post graduation scholarship. Eligible applicants are those graduates who 1) provide direct legal services to indigent and/or underserved populations (such as state or federal public defenders or legal aid attorneys); 2) conduct impact litigation on behalf of indigents and/or underserved populations; or 3) engage in policy work on behalf of indigents and/or underserved populations.
