W&L Cheerleading promotes school spirit in support of the University's athletic teams, leads cheers, and raises the level of fan support for intercollegiate athletics. We use this activity both to keep crowd attention on the field where the intercollegiate activity is taking place and for entertainment purposes. We also serve as public relations ambassadors for Washington and Lee University. Since the club sport's creation in 2000, W&L Cheerleading has earned campus-wide recognition for its improvement and truly represents the tradition of excellence under which Washington and Lee exists.
