GREYHOUND BUS SERVICE:
The closest bus station near Dulles Airport (IAD) next to Washington, DC is Springfield, VA or on the north side of Union Station in Washington, D.C. The closest station to Lexington is Roanoke, VA, which is one hour from Lexington, VA. Please do not try to take a bus to Lexington, VA if you are arriving for the first time.

AMTRAK TRAIN SERVICE:
Lexington does not have a train service. Nearest railway stations are at Staunton (45 minutes away) and Charlottesville (1 hour 15 minutes away). There is no shuttle service from the railway stations to Lexington. Staunton to DC: $50; Charlottesville to DC $30-$60.

This shuttle service travels from NYC to Charlottesville three days per week. There is a full schedule available on their website. $70 one way.
