Washington and Lee University
Sydney joined the major gifts staff in October 2009 after serving as W&L's Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations and Faculty Grant Support where she developed grant proposals and assisted faculty with individual research applications. Sydney holds a bachelor's degree in English from Georgetown University and a master's degree in Education Policy from the Teachers College at Columbia University.
Before coming to Washington and Lee, Sydney worked in development for education organizations in Washington, DC and New York City. Most recently, she worked in institutional advancement at The After-School Corporation (TASC) in New York, the first nonprofit organization in the nation to build a citywide K-12 after-school system.
