
1. Go to the script creation web page and login using your AD credentials.
2. In 'Step 2' choose
A. which network drives (H:, L:, ) to map and
B. which public printers to install.
3. 'Step 3' reveals the results of the script creation process for Windows and Macintosh based systems. At this point the mappings and printer installations have not been processed - only the script to perform these operations has been generated. The script file (icon and link) can be:
1) executed from the page or
2) right-clicked and 'save-target-as' to the desktop for future reference.
4. Executing the script causes the
A. selected drives to be mapped IN ADDITION to a P: mapping for a UG public labs printer shortcut (to add additional printers later on as needed)
B. selected printers to be installed and added to the host's printer list.
C. shortcuts for the mapped drives to be pasted onto the desktop.
