John W. Elrod University Commons

President John W. Elrod's vision for the Commons was to serve as the “living room” for Washington and Lee University. The Elrod Commons serves as the center of student life and activity. It is the central location for all University constituencies to gather and feel at home. The Elrod Commons serves as a place to enhance the learning experience of the University, promote social development, and foster collaboration and communication among all.
