

MOBILE, Ala. -- Following Thursday’s deflating loss in the first round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Small College Championships, the W&L duo of senior Katie Tabb (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina) and junior Lauren Caire (Nashville, Tenn./Harpeth Hall) won its two matches on Friday en route to a fifth-place finish.
Tabb and Caire rebounded from Thursday’s first-round loss and breezed past Emory’s Lorne McManigle and Sabra Rogers 6-1, 6-1, before defeating UT-Tyler’s Beth Launius and Michelle Hagler 6-2, 6-3 to wrap up a fifth place finish.
The ITA Small College Championships conclude the fall season for the W&L women’s tennis team.
