

LYNCHBURG. Va. -- The W&L women’s tennis team swept all six singles flights that it competed in and is in position to do the same in the doubles following day one of the ODAC Individual Tournament.
Senior Katie Tabb (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina) took home championship honors at #1 singles, and was one of six Generals to win their flight. First-years Lauren Lukas (Manitowoc, Wis./Lincoln), Trelsie Sadler (Wakefield, R.I./Groton School), Ann Morris (Lexington, Ky./Lexington Catholic), Jen Snyder (Highland Heights, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) and Chloe Bellomy (Beaufort, S.C./Beaufort) took home titles in flights 2-6. The Generals did not have anyone competing in the seventh flight.
In the doubles portion of the event, Tabb paired with Morris to comprise W&L’s top singles team and advance to Sunday’s semifinal round, while Sadler and Lukas also advanced. The team of Snyder and first-year Laura Pattillo (Atlanta, Ga./Marist) received a first-round bye to advance to the semis, while Bellomy and first-year Sarah Offut (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day) have advanced to the finals in the fourth doubles flight.
Final rounds of the doubles tournament takes place tomorrow, Sunday, at E.C. Glass High School.
