W&L's admission process is highly selective. That is, more students apply each year for the 455-member class than we have room to enroll. The most competitive applicants have typically availed themselves of their high schools' most rigorous programs of study, but more than this, they are interesting people, with great potential to enrich the lives of others and enliven the world around them. What does our Admissions Committee look for when reading applications?
To apply online, you can use either the W&L Online Application or the Common Application Online. We regard them equally, but you should use only one application method to apply, since duplicate applications can slow your admissions process.
