E-mail lists are automatically generated for all current undergraduate and Law courses in GroupWise. The instructor and students in any course may send e-mail to all enrolled students and the instructor by inserting a single address in the "to" field of an e-mail message. The lists generally begin with the discipline abbreviation. If you're using the GroupWise client, you can use the name completion feature to easily find the particular course list you're seeking.
For instance:
Use the standard department abbreviations employed by the registrar's office. In GroupWise, course list names will "pop up" in numeric order within their disciplines, and you can use the down arrow on the keyboard to move to higher-level courses within the discipline. The course lists generally take this form: course abbreviation, followed by course number, followed by two-digit course section. Examples:
If you're not using GroupWise to address a message to a course list, append "@gwd1.wlu.edu" to the end of the address. So, for instance, SOC102_01 would become SOC102_01@gwd1.wlu.edu
Membership in the e-mail lists is updated daily during the drop/add period, and weekly throughout the term. The course lists are re-created at the beginning of each term.
