Technology support in undergraduate University classrooms is provided by staff within the Academic Technology division of Information Technology Services (ITS). Primary staff members include:
Other ITS staff members provide additional support in specific academic buildings.
Most technology equipped classrooms have a touchpanel or push button control system that includes a "Help" button. Pressing this button will bring immediate support to your classroom during regular academic hours.
Every effort is made to have a staff member respond within 5 - 10 minutes. If your issue is solved before a technician arrives, please press the "Help Cancel" button to notify our staff that help is no longer needed.
Individualized training is available on an as needed basis from any of the Classroom Technology support staff. Simply contact a staff member to set up an appointment. Training is also available as part of the Faculty Academy sessions taught during August of each year.
If you experience an issue in a technology classroom that does not require immediate attention, please take a moment to report the problem at the completion of your class. This can be done online at our Web Help Desk interface; by contacting any staff member; or by calling the HelpDesk at ext. 4357 (HELP). Problem reports help our staff keep the classrooms running properly for all users.
