Washington and Lee University
As part of its Strategic Plan, Washington and Lee will establish new academic programs and enhance existing programs that foster learning, engagement and character. The University will fully develop its new Freshman Seminar Program, launch a third year curricular initiative in the law school called "Bridge to the Profession," and strengthen interdisciplinary programs.

Closing the Books on a Successful Year
2008-09 was another outstanding year in Advancement for W&L, despite what was likely the most difficult economic and philanthropic environment since the Great Depression.
