
Housing Works provides health care, housing, job training and legal and supportive services to homeless and formerly homeless people in several major cities. The National Advocacy and Organizing Intern will assist in legislative advocacy, organizing, training and research, working on funding and policy issues regarding public HIV/AIDS health care, housing and public assistance programs. The intern will work with the director of federal advocacy, the national field organizer, and legislative counsel on research, training and advocacy projects, all of which will include the participation of poor, low-income and disabled people living with HIV/AIDS. Excellent writing, reading, analytical and communication required, along with computer skills. Proficiency in Spanish or other languages a plus.
