

January 20, 2013 : Student applications due
Late January/early February: Campus interviews conducted.
February 20: Students selected for the program.
March 25-29: Interns and agencies will be notified about internship placements.
April 1-April 12: Interns will conduct telephone meetings with their agency supervisor to confirm placement match. If a match is not successful, the intern will be placed with a second organization.
June 7-8: Opening Conference will be held at Washington and Lee University
June 9: Interns will travel to their internship locations, settle into housing and navigate public transportation and their commute to work
June 10: First day of internship
August 1 or 2: Last day of internship
August 2-3: Students travel to Lexington, Virginia
August 4: Frueauff Closing Conference for SIP
August 5-6: Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty Symposia
August 6 by 2:30pm: Departure
