University Board of Appeals

Appeals to decisions by the Student Judicial Council, Student-Faculty Hearing Board, SAC Hearing Board, Inter-fraternity Council Conduct Board, or Panhellenic Council Conduct Board, may be made by the complainant, the accused or designated University Official to the University Board of Appeals (UBA) if:

  • the action taken by the body would create a disciplinary record, or
  • in the case of the University official, the action taken by the judicial body could have created (but did not create) a disciplinary record.

"University official" is the Director of Public Safety or a designee of the Director.

Appeals arising from law students or organizations should typically be heard by a panel consisting of law faculty and law students; appeals arising from undergraduate students or organizations should typically be heard by a panel consisting of undergraduate faculty and students.
