The Williams School of Commerce, Economics and Politics
The Entrepreneurship Summit was launched in 2012 and has quickly become one of the university's signature alumni events. Each fall, nearly 100 alumni and 300 students who are interested in entrepreneurship come together to network and learn from each other. The event takes place over two days-a Friday and Saturday-and culminates with a dinner on Saturday night.
2015 Entrepreneurship Summit
The 2015 Entrepreneurship Summit was held on September 25-26.
Throughout the event, alumni act as a resource to students but it's important to note that the keynotes, panels and roundtable discussions are geared at entrepreneurs of all ages-regardless of whether they graduated from W&L in 2014 or 1974. Students and alumni alike learn from watching those who have both succeeded and failed at getting new ventures off the ground.
Over 100 alumni and 400 students enjoyed sessions on raising capital, sales, hiring new talent, crowdsourcing and crowd funding, and knowing when to launch. In addition, the popular Student Pitch Competition and the Alumni Pitch Session were back along with a keynote address by Stephen Denny '83.
Mark your calendars, next year's Entrepreneurship Summit will be September 23-24!
