Georgia

In order to sit for the GA CPA exam you must:

  • Be of good moral character;
  • Have a Bachelor's degree or higher;
  • Total of 150 semester hours of education;
    • 30 semester hours must be in accounting above the introductory level; and
    • 24 semester hours must be in business related subjects.

In order to obtain a CPA license in the state of GA you must:

  • Be of good moral character;
  • Pass the CPA exam;
  • Have one-year of continuous qualifying experience;
    • Minimum of 2,000 hours;
    • Must be completed not more than one year prior to date of application;
    • Must be completed under the supervision of an active CPA.
