The Tucker Multimedia Center (TMC) is a key component of language education at Washington and Lee University, assisting both teachers and students with the technological resources they need. At the TMC students take tests, watch videos, listen to audio media, check out video cameras to film projects, engage in computer-linked group pronunciation exercises, and communicate with other countries via webcam and video conferencing.
Regular Fall/Winter Terms:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00AM - Midnight
- Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
- Saturday: 10:00AM - 1:00PM
- Sunday: 7:00PM - Midnight
Quizzes and tests are distributed by the TMC student assistant on duty and may be picked up in the TMC work center. All quizzes and tests must be signed out on the electronic system upon entry to the TMC. Testing materials should be returned to the TMC student assistant and student must sign out at the electronic station.
Resources are available here on orientation, equipment available for check-out, technology, independent language study, and language learning via the Internet.

The Tucker Multimedia Center, as a part of Washington and Lee University, provides many, varied opportunities for professional growth in language development and language teaching. Professional development workshops for present and aspiring teachers and community outreach for language learning have become mainstays in the TMC's mission to contribute to critical thinking and understanding.
