2013-2014

On May 6, a Washington and Lee Junior was accused of Driving while Under the Influence, Activity that Endangers a Person, and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/She was not found guilty of Driving While Under the Influence by a 0-8 vote. He/She was found guilty of Activity that Endangers a Person by a 8-0 vote. He/She was found guilty of Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student by a 8-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • Suspension for the remainder of the 2013-2014 Academic Year with re-admittance possible for the 2014-2015 Academic Year.

On April 2, 2014 a Washington and Lee First-Year was accused of Use and Possession of an Illegal Substance in a Residence Hall and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Use and Possession of an Illegal Substance in a Residence Hall by a 8-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 8-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions:  

  • Conduct Probation ending 4/2/2015
  • 60 Hours of Community Service due by the end of Spring Term 2014
  • Referral to University Counseling

On April 2, 2014 a Washington and Lee Sophomore was accused of Use and Possession of an Illegal Substance in a Residence Hall and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Use and Possession of an Illegal Substance in a Residence Hall by a 8-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 8-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions:  

  • Conduct Probation ending 4/2/2015
  • 100 Hours of Community Service due by the end of Fall Term 2014
  • Referral to University Counseling

On March 20, 2014 a Washington and Lee Sophomore was accused of Vandalism and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Vandalism by a 7-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 7-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • Conduct Probation concluding on March 20, 2015.
  • Community Service for 30 Hours due by the end of Spring Term 2014.
  • $150 Fine 

On Febuary 28, 2014 a Washington and Lee First Year was accused of Physical Assault and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found not guilty of Physical Assault by a 1-7 vote. He/she was found guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 8-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • Conduct Probation concluding on Febuary 28, 2015.
  • Community Service for 150 Hours due by the end of Fall Term 2014.
  • Letter of Appology
  • Mandated Counseling 

On January 28, 2014 a Washington and Lee Junior was accused of Possession and Use of a Controlled Substance and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Possession and Use of a Controlled Substance by a 7-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 0-7 vote.The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • Conduct Probation concluding on January 27, 2015.
  • Community Service for 100 Hours due by the end of Fall Term 2014.

On January 20, 2014 a Washington and Lee Junior was accused of Driving while Under the Influence. He/she was found guilty of Driving while Under the Influence with a B.A.C. over .15. The Following Sanctions were assessed:                                                    

  • Automatic administrative suspension with possibility of reenrollment for Spring Term of 2014. 

On November 21, 2013 a Washington and Lee First Year was accused of Physical Assault and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Physical Assault by a 9-0 vote. He/she was found guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 9-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • $445 fine  
  • Letter of Apology  
  • Traveller Privileges revoked for the remainder Academic time at Washington and Lee  
  • Conduct Probation for 52 weeks  
  • Community Restitution for 200 hours  
  • Counseling by the University Counseling Center

On November 14, 2013 a Washington and Lee Junior was accused of Activity that Endangers a Person, Transfer of an Illegal Substance, and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Activity that Endangers a Person by a 10-0 vote. He/she was found guilty of Transfer of an Illegal Substance by a 7-3 vote. He/she was found guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 10-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions: 

  • Suspension for Winter Term 2014. 

On October 28, 2013 a Washington and Lee Senior was accused of Driving while Under the Influence and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Driving while Under the Influence by a 10-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 10-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • Conduct Probation concluding at the end of the 2013-2014 Academic Year  
  • 100 hours of Community Service to be completed by the end of the 2013-2014 Academic Year

On October 28, 2013 a Washington and Lee Junior was accused of Vandalism and Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington and Lee student. He/she was found guilty of Vandalism by a 10-0 vote. He/she was found not guilty of Conduct Unbecoming by a 10-0 vote. The SJC assessed the following sanctions:

  • Conduct Probation concluding at the end of the 2013 Fall Term  
  • Restitution of damaged property
