Mail Services FAQ

How do I receive mail while I'm at school?

Since W&L is only a block away from the Lexington Post Office, the University does not maintain a mail room for students. You can sign up to get a PO Box over the summer through your local Post Office. If you want to receive packages during the school year, you can send those to yourself at the University. Just make sure they're addressed properly as below:

Washington and Lee University
Your Name
Hall and Room Number
204 West Washington Street
Lexington, VA 24450-2116

See the Mail Services website for more information. When a package arrives, Campus Mail will notify the student via email or campus phone that he/she may retrieve it.
