Faculty and Staff Travel

Faculty and staff traveling domestically or abroad on university business with or without students for any reason should follow these guidelines.

Faculty and Staff Domestic Travel

All faculty organizing domestic travel on behalf of the university should follow the guidelines below. Faculty and staff seeking funding or support from the University for travel related to professional development, research, or other university business must secure advance approval from their department heads or supervisors.

Faculty and Staff International Travel

All faculty and staff organizing international travel on behalf of the university should follow the guidelines below. University funds can only be used to fund international travel for faculty, staff, and students to countries where the U.S. Department of State's Travel Advisory is Level 1 (Exercise Normal Precautions) or Level 2 (Exercise Increased Caution). For destinations where any travel advisory exceeds level two, travelers must request an exception from the travel registry. Faculty and staff must secure advance approval from their department heads or supervisors before planning said travel.

Spring Term Travel

Faculty and staff travel connected with a spring term course should use the guidance within Curricular Resources. Please follow guidance for domestic or international spring term courses as needed.
