Improvisation Performance by Jonathan Chapman Cook

Improvisation performance will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Staniar Gallery located in Wilson Hall.

The lessons learned in the Improvisation Master Class held on October 6th will be expressed through a practical arts performance.  Cook and the students use improvisational skills in music and dance to open Jose Krapp's installation work "an exercise in not perpetual motion/another last stand" in Staniar Gallery. Through his work which "...uses common construction materials and hardware—plywood, extension cords, nuts and bolts , Jose Krapp creates  installations and sculptures that are suggestively utilitarian."

The dancers will interpret and reimagine Jose's work through movement to open his Stanier Gallery lecture.
