W&L University Singers Tour Home

Join the renowned W&L University Singers as they return home from their February tour of the Northeast with an evening of a cappella choral mastery. The tour will include the Lexington premiere of Ēriks Ešenvalds’ Northern Lights, a haunting work performed with hand chimes, wine goblets, and movement. After feature performances in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and elsewhere, hear the choir perform the daunting double choir motet Singet dem Herrn by Bach, journey through Seasons of Anticipation with the Lenten and Advent music of Allegri, Schreck, Prauliņš, and Łukaszewski, and spend time in the aether with the music of Lynch and Augustinus, finally closing with hymns, gospel music, and folk songs that are always audience favorites.
Tickets are free, but required.
