Mr. Toshio OHI to speak at W&L

Mr. Toshio OHI, 11th-generation descendant of the illustrious Ohi family of potters in the city of Kanazawa, will be giving a talk at Washington and Lee University on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10 am-11 am in Northen Auditorium of Leyburn Library. The title of his talk is The Cultural Importance of the Tea Bowl, A Venerated Tradition in Japan. Following the lecture from around 11:00 am, the Chanoyu Tea Society of W&L will be serving sweets and tea in the Senshin'an Tea Room (洗心庵), a tea room named by Sen Genshitsu Daisosho (Watson Pavilion).
