PATH

At Washington and Lee, we believe that performance development should be a continuous cycle of measurement, feedback and development designed to result in the highest levels of excellence and to recognize, develop and reward top performers.

Our PATH is designed to focus on goals achieved and competencies demonstrated on the job. The program is development focused and performance based. A partnership between the employee and supervisor, the PATH is designed to be objective, transparent and consistent.

Employee Development Stages

Part of the annual PATH process includes a focus on employee development. To facilitate performance development conversations between the employee and their manager, managers are required to select a current development stage that best describes the employee.
