Mid-Year Review: Role of the Employee

  • The Mid-Year Review is a documented performance conversation between the employee and the manager.
  • Prior to your mid-year conversation, your manager may ask you to complete a self-assessment online in your PATH found in Workday.
  • Prepare for meeting with your supervisor by reviewing your goals and making a list of your accomplishments so far this year.
  • Review the defined competencies for your position making a list of your strengths or areas in which
    you would like to improve.
  • During the mid-year meeting, discuss what you would like to accomplish for the remainder of the year, sharing information about any difficulties to achieving your goals and how you might overcome obstacles.
  • Review your goals with your manager to see if any should be changed, added or removed.
  • Ask for feedback from your supervisor on what you are doing well and what you could improve upon.
  • Discuss your development interests or activities for the year.
  • At the end of this meeting, make sure you understand what is expected of you for the remainder of the performance year.
