Washington and Lee University recognizes and honors staff who have reached certain service milestones. Awards are presented to employees in recognition for years of service beginning at 5 years and at every five-year milestone beyond. In the spring, a special luncheon is held in their honor. Staff who are retiring during that fiscal year are also honored.

Finale is held each May after commencement to show appreciation to all employees at the end of the academic year.
