Washington and Lee provides premium Care.com memberships for employees to make finding the right care for your family easier. Just log on to the Care.com for Washington and Lee University page at www.care.com/wlu, and use your W&L email address to be added to create your account. You'll be able to search for care providers or post a job. Then review detailed profiles for interested care providers, including experience, availability, rates, photos, references, reviews, and background checks. Once you find a care provider that seems to be the right fit for your family, phone screen, live interview, and check references. Voila! Care need fulfilled!

Have a 'last minute' care need? Use Care on Call for back up child care, elder care, pet care, etc. The University subsidizes 60% of last minute or emergency child and elder care in order for you to attend to work responsibilities, the benefit covers up to $200 per employee per year. Use the back-up care reimbursement form on this page and submit to Human Resources for reimbursement.

The Senior Care Advisors are Master's level social workers who can assist in the many aspects of senior care planning. Advisors are available as a free service to benefits eligible employees over the phone and email. Your personal advisor can work with the entire family on important decision making, planning, navigating the many options for care and much more. For situations big and small, Senior Care Advisors are available to provide professional adult and senior care guidance.
Care Co-Ops are also based around trading care, but are for larger groups of families. Hours of child care are given "point" values instead of currency, and points are traded between members of the Co-Op for child care services rendered.
