Supplemental Life Insurance
In addition to the basic life insurance benefit, eligible employees may purchase additional life insurance for themselves. Without underwriting, an employee can purchase up to three times base salary or $100,000 (whichever is less). Or, an employee can purchase up to $300,000 with medical underwriting. Employees who elect at least $10,000 may also purchase life insurance for his/her spouse or domestic partner. You can purchase in $5,000 increments up to $20,000 guaranteed; or, as much as $150,000 with medical underwriting. You may also purchase up to $10,000 for each dependent child.
Opportunity to purchase (with full medical underwriting) or increase this benefit occurs annually during Open Enrollment.
