Applying for Long Term Care Insurance Coverage

When is the deadline to apply?

Newly hired employees, and their spouse/partner can buy at competitive group rates with no medical underwriting or streamlined underwriting depending on age as long as application is made within 31 days of employment. Parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandparents-in-law, siblings, and adult children can also apply by contacting Genworth Life directly for an information kit or by downloading the necessary forms from the Genworth website.

How do I apply?

Employees and their spouses/partners can apply on-line at Genworth.com/groupltc. The group ID is: WLU and Access Code is: groupltc. All others will apply via a paper enrollment form which can be obtained from Genworth Life or downloaded from the enrollment site. Note: MAC users can access the enrollment site to perform "what-if" premium calculations based on individual benefit choices, but will need to print, complete, sign and mail the enrollment form to Genworth Life.

Do I have to apply in order for my parents, siblings to apply?

No, employees do not need to apply for other eligible family members to apply for coverage.

Is there an age limit on applying?

Actively at work eligible employees and their eligible family members must be over 18 and less than 80 to apply for this long term care insurance. All applicants must maintain a permanent US residence and have a valid Social Security number or Tax Identification number.
