Washington and Lee Hillel House Center for Jewish Life

Our 7,000 square foot LEED-certified facility opened September 2010 and is open to students 24/7 and open to the public Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM and Sunday 10 AM - 2 PM.

Amenities include:

  • E-Café (a Campus Dining facility managed by Shelly Balisteri and Dwight Bitz) has a Kosher kitchen and inside and outside dining area
  • Sanctuary/Multipurpose Room
  • Free Student Wi-Fi
  • Comfortable Study spaces
  • Lounge Area with Cable TV
  • State-of-the art meeting spaces including either 60" screen TV or drop down projection screen

Room/Event Reservations

W&L Hillel House is available to the public and members of the W&L community for event hosting. It is recommended that reservations be made as far in advance.

Please review all Hillel Policies and regulations before requesting the use of any of the faciltites

Hillel House Reservation Pricing List for Private Events and Outside Organizations*:

*Sanctuary/Multipurpose Room: $250 refundable deposit, $250 fee (Not Available Friday evenings or Jewish holidays)

*Conference Room: $100 refundable deposit, $100 fee (Not Available Friday evenings or Jewish holidays)

**Entire First Floor: $250 refundable deposit, $600 fee* (Available Sunday-Thursday after 5:00pm and all day Saturday) **$100 additional fee from midnight - 2:00 am

*If the organization is a Lexington/Rockbridge nonprofit organization, the fee is $50
