First Fridays and Shabbat Shalom

Shabbat at Washington and Lee

Fridays at Five

Washington and Lee Hillel offers a monthly community Shabbat service and dinner starting at 5 PM, usually on the first Friday of the month. Fridays at Five is open to all students, faculty, staff, and members of the Lexington / Rockbridge communities.

Shabbat Shalom Dinners

On other Friday evenings students and their guests meet at 6 PM for for candle-lighting, kiddush, motzi, and dinner.

Shabbat dinners are free, but RSVPs are needed by Wednesday evening.

If you are not sure if you are planning on coming, RSVP anyways!
RSVPs allow us to figure out how much food we need. Better to have more food than not enough!
