Adam Lewis ’10 Associate at Rabin Martin

I am working at a public health/management consulting firm in Manhattan, specifically on a maternal health initiative for Merck in sub-Saharan Africa. Long story short, I get to write, research and "strategize" a lot, and the work has been very stimulating so far.

Despite certain perceptions of the English major's practicality in the American workforce, it has contributed more to my overall on-the-job abilities than any other experience-by far. While the content of the major may not directly apply to the work, the analytical, creative thinking and writing skills that I gleaned from English have proven to be extremely relevant, and as solid a foundation for any job as I could have ever asked for. I am grateful I chose that path, regardless of where I end up.
