Loren Pomeroy began his guitar studies in his native Arizona. While participating in a master class with Italian virtuoso Oscar Ghiglia, he was invited to study privately with Mr. Ghiglia in Paris. While in Paris, he also studied music analysis and interpretation with renowned pedagogue Nadia Boulanger. Later, he was awarded a scholarship by the Italian government to the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence. Mr. Pomeroy has performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States as a solo recitalist, chamber performer, and soloist with symphony orchestras. He has taught guitar at Brigham Young University and Snow College in Utah and is presently instructor of guitar at Washington and Lee University and Southern Virginia University as well as director of the Shenandoah Guitar Ensemble in Lexington.
