Nate Leath is a multi-instrumentalist on the forefront of today’s music industry. Leath received a bachelor’s degree in performance from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Most of his time is spent as a music educator, touring musician and record producer.
Ranging in a wide variety of Americana styles on acoustic and electric guitar, Nate teaches guitar lessons at all levels of proficiency. Focus can be on one or multiple musical genres including blues, rock, country, pop, jazz, bluegrass, country, hip hop and electronica.
In addition to teaching guitar lessons, Nate is the director of the Bluegrass Ensemble at Washington and Lee. Rockbridge County is known for its bluegrass roots and Leath is enthusiastic to share his expertise. He has won many awards at prestigious bluegrass contests including the annual Galax Fiddlers Convention. Leath has also toured with many bluegrass groups including David Grisman, Old School Freight Train, and Love Canon.
