Sara's role in the Career Development Center includes working with students and employers. She advises students in all class years on a variety of career-related topics including choosing a major, choosing a career path, and searching for internships and full-time jobs. She assists students with resumes, interviewing skills, and graduate school preparation. In addition to her work with students, Sara also coordinates assessment, outreach, and marketing for the Career Development Center, including social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter. Sara is part of the team that assists with on-campus recruiting by working with students to navigate the University's primary job search database, W&L LexLink. Although the Career Development Center staff are generalists prepared to work to work with all students, Sara will also work in special collaboration with The College, which includes majors in the humanities, arts, sciences and journalism. As a liaison to The College, she will develop successful partnerships that connect employers, students, faculty, alumni, and the Career Development Center.

Originally from Knotts Island, a small island situated on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Sara completed her undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
