The 2015-2016 academic year is the 267th year in the life of Washington and Lee University and culminates with the Commencement ceremonies for the School of Law,  and the undergraduate College and Williams School.

Law Commencement 2015

The 161st commencement ceremony for the Washington and Lee University School of Law will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. on the Front Lawn of the main campus. Undergraduate Commencement 2015

The 229th undergraduate commencement will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. on the Front Lawn of the main campus. The Baccalaureate Service will be held the day before, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., also on the Front Lawn. Va. Education Secretary Holton Speaks, Receives Honorary Degree at W&L

Virginia Secretary of Education Anne Holton advised Washington and Lee University seniors at their May 27 baccalaureate service to "live life optimistically, be on the lookout for opportunities, jump in vigorously, and don't worry about who gets the credit."
