Bulk Mail Processing

Departments using W&L Mail Services to process non-profit bulk mailings (minimum 200 pieces) or first-class presort mailings (minimum 500 pieces) are required to notify mail services by 12:00 Noon on desired mailing date in order to provide Campus Mail Services with time to process the mailing and deliver it to the United States Postal Service by the required time of 2:30 P.M. Departments are encouraged to have the proper postage imprint pre-printed on the mail piece in order to expedite the processing of these mailings. For more information on qualifying for bulk discount rate, please contact Chris Adkins at Campus Mail Services.

Departments are reminded that when utilizing the non-profit bulk mailing option, it is not first class mail and is not treated as such. Bulk mail moves through our system, as well as the U.S. Post Office system, at a slower pace. Proper planning should be made to allow adequate time for the mail piece to move through the various stages of processing and to reach its final destination.
